Collar

Category: Gear

A collar is worn around the throat and may carry a D-ring for a leash or tether. Its meaning is rarely only practical: in dominance and submission a collar most often marks a negotiated relationship, and the act of putting one on has its own name, collaring. Types range from a soft everyday "day collar" that reads as ordinary jewellery to heavy locking posture collars used in scene. What a given collar means is set by the people involved, not by the hardware.
