Fantasia Fair (TransWeek) 2026

When: –

Where: Provincetown, Massachusetts (multiple venues), Provincetown, US

Fantasia Fair is the world's oldest transgender event. It's a week-long conference and social program, held in Provincetown every October since 1975.

This event started decades before most people even knew what "transgender" meant. For fifty years, it's been a place for trans people to gather, learn, and celebrate.

The Fair runs workshops, panel discussions, and brings in keynote speakers. There are social events too. But really, it's about spending a week in Provincetown — one of the most accepting small towns in America — simply being yourself.

People come from all over the US and internationally. Nothing else for trans people has this kind of history or depth.

October puts it in Provincetown's off-season. That makes things feel more intimate. The town quiets down. Attendees spread out across all the guesthouses. Provincetown in autumn, with its particular light, empty beaches, and a town settling down, feels different from summer. Maybe even more profound.
